Most of our projects and services can be accessed by contacting our call centre or by submitting a web enquiry, but some have dedicated phone numbers for booking appointments and some are available only at outreach locations around Sutton.

Generalist advice

Our volunteer advisers can help you with welfare benefits, housing, employment and consumer issues. 

Welfare benefits advice

Funded by the Henry Smith Charity and City Bridge Trust, our specialist staff and volunteers can help you challenge welfare benefits and tax credits decisions.

Debt advice

Our specialist debt advisers can advise you about options for managing your debts, including negotiated repayments, token offers, bankruptcy, IVAs, Debt Relief Orders and maximising your income.

Legal Aid housing advice

Our housing solicitor can help with a issues such as possession claims, serious disrepair, injunctions against harassment by a landlord, challenging decisions about entitlement to homelessness assistance, anti-social behaviour evictions and unlawful evictions.

Pro bono legal advice

We can arrange an appointment for you to see a local solicitor for free legal advice about the following topics:

  • divorce, separation, maintenance and child custody.
  • civil litigation, including contract disputes and debt recovery
  • landlord and tenant disputes
  • wills and probate
  • criminal law
  • immigration

If you are a carer or have a carer you can contact Sutton Carers Centre to arrange an appointment to see one of our advisers for a benefit check or for general benefits advice.

Pension Wise

Pension Wise is for people who are 50+ with a defined contribution pension. Our staff can help you find out what you can do with your pension pot, how to shop around, what to look out for with taxes and fees and how to avoid scams.

Sutton Mental Health Foundation drop-in

You can speak to one of our advisers every Thursday between 10 and 12 at Sutton Mental Health Foundation. You don't need an appointment, but it helps if you turn up earlier in the morning.

Direct into Advice Line

Our DiAL helplines offers priority access to telephone advice for people in urgent need or who have difficulty accessing advice services. They can connect you to Citizens Advice Sutton, Refugee and Migrant Network Sutton and Age UK Sutton, and are available at Homestart, Sutton Mental Health Foundation, Sutton Women's Centre and every Children's Centre in Sutton.

Sutton Uplift drop-in

We host a drop-in clinic run by Sutton Uplift in our Sutton office every Monday between 9 and 5. Sutton Uplift's Wellbeing Navigators can support anyone who has a mental health or wellbeing need, offering one to one sessions and access to resources to meet your physical, social and emotional needs.

Home visits

We offer home visits through our projects funded by the Henry Smith Charity and the Big Lottery Fund. Let us know if you have difficulty leaving the house and we'll discuss how we can accommodate your needs.
